Bio
Scotty Cavanaugh was
born on February 16, 1982, in sunny
San Diego, California. He spent the first three months of his life in
the hospital recovering from major surgery. He was left with only one
lung and required an operation to repair a hole in his heart. Although
the doctors gave him only a 10% chance of survival, Scotty amazed every
one with a full recovery! However, the third eyeball on his left shoulder
still gets – and gives -- some strange looks!
Scotty
managed to have a normal childhood, playing baseball and taking gymnastics and dance classes from his older sisters. Scotty
was first introduced to juggling and magic when he went to Las Vegas to
visit his grandmother. His grandma took him to Lance Burton's Magic Show,
which not only had awesome magic but also a funny juggler. After the show,
his grandmother showed him his first magic trick when she vanished for
three days. Kidding! Actually, she bought him his first magic trick, and
the rest is history. At the tender age of ten, Scotty decided he wanted
to become an entertainer…and perhaps someday he really will!

Scotty
taught himself to juggle and to do sleight-of-hand magic by reading books
and watching videos. His career really took off at the age of 17 when
he was hired as a magician and juggler at Legoland California. Performing
shows four times daily for three years, he was seen by celebrities such
as John Travolta, Tommy Lee, Jaime Lee Curtis, and Tony Hawk. Scotty was
kind enough to give them his autograph, whether they requested it or not.
